Southern California Proposal & Wedding Photographer

We’re Stephanie and Bryan— a husband-and-wife duo who believe that life’s most meaningful moments deserve to be captured and cherished. Stephanie is the creative force behind the lens, and Bryan, a software engineer by day, is her biggest supporter in every endeavor. Together, we bring a dynamic blend of creativity, precision, and teamwork to every session.

A 25-Year Love Story

Most love stories aren’t loud. They’re not always filled with grand gestures or perfectly posed moments. Sometimes, they look like two people quietly choosing each other — every single day — for 25 years.

When Zoe reached out to plan a photoshoot to celebrate her and Steve’s silver wedding anniversary, it wasn’t about creating something extravagant. It was about preserving something real — a love that has been built slowly, patiently, and intentionally over time.

What 25 Years of Marriage Really Means

In Chinese culture, a 25-year marriage is known as a “silver wedding” — a milestone that represents resilience, devotion, and a relationship that has stood the test of time.

For Zoe and Steve, this milestone wasn’t just about the number of years.

It was about everything those years held:

  • Raising a family
  • Navigating life transitions
  • Continuing to show up for each other

And perhaps most beautifully — still holding hands when they walk side by side.

Traveling to Southern California to Celebrate Their Story

Zoe and Steve traveled from the San Francisco Bay Area to Southern California for this session — turning their anniversary into a full experience, not just a photoshoot.

They rented a home, planned a week together, and carved out intentional time to document this chapter of their lives.

The most meaningful photos don’t happen when you rush in and out of a session — they happen when you allow space to simply be together.

Designing a Photoshoot Around Real Moments

From the very beginning, Zoe shared something that immediately shaped how I approached this session:

She didn’t want anything overly posed.

She wanted something natural — something that felt like them.

So instead of focusing on poses, we designed a flow:

  • Starting under the Manhattan Beach Pier
  • Walking along the shoreline
  • Pausing at meaningful spots like the lifeguard tower
  • Ending with a quiet sunset moment

Ending the Session with Stillness

As the sun began to set, we slowed everything down.

No direction. No prompts.

Just Zoe and Steve sitting together, watching the horizon.

These are often my favorite moments to capture — when everything quiets, and what’s left is simply presence.

Thinking About Your Own Anniversary Photoshoot?

If you’ve ever thought about documenting your relationship — whether it’s 1 year or 25 — here are a few things to keep in mind:

  • Choose a location that feels meaningful, not just “pretty”
  • Focus on experiences, not poses
  • Allow time to slow down — don’t rush the session
  • Wear something that feels like you, not a costume
  • Don’t worry about “being photogenic” — connection matters more

Ready to Plan Your Own?

If you’re looking to document your relationship in a way that feels natural, meaningful,
and true to who you are, I’d love to help you create something intentional.
