Turning your home into a photo studio is possible with a few pieces of photo equipment, but the most important thing is that the space allows the photographer to be properly positioned. For this particular photoshoot, we were able to fit into a 10×10 foot living room. It would have been better to move the furniture out of the room for a better overall experience, but we made do.
The mother’s birthday was coming up, and she wanted to have an intimate photo session with her family along with a couple of outfit changes. One of the benefits of doing a photo session at home is having the flexibility to change in and out of outfits without the need to haul everything from place to place or find a private room. Not to mention it minimizes the wait time, allowing the client to have more shots taken within the hour.
