Full Circle at the Net
Some love stories are written on the sand, and for Christina & Van, the volleyball court was just the beginning. Years after meeting on the very courts of Hermosa Beach, Van brought their story full circle with a heartfelt surprise proposal right where it all began.
What made it even more special is that Christina’s parents also met playing volleyball at Manhattan Beach, making this stretch of coastline a truly meaningful place for her family legacy.
With a cover story of meeting up and having dinner with the parents at Hennessey’s Tavern, Van led Christina on a “casual walk” along the beach before popping the question. Little did she know, a full rooftop of their friends and family were gathered nearby, ready for the next surprise.
After the proposal, we staged a fake photographer exit to let Christina and Van film a few behind-the-scenes vlog moments. Meanwhile, we snuck up to the rooftop to capture the second wave of surprise as the couple arrived and were met with cheers and hugs from loved ones.
Foggy skies, heartfelt laughs, and a perfectly executed surprise made this Hermosa Beach shoot a memory to last a lifetime.
