Most people think a corporate headshot is just a quick photo for LinkedIn. But for me, it\u2019s so much more than that.<\/p>\n

Recently, I had the opportunity to photograph 60 team members during a corporate retreat at The Ranch in Laguna Beach<\/strong>. It was a whirlwind three-hour session\u2014marathon-style, high-volume, fast-paced. But beneath all the logistics and lighting setups, something deeper stood out to me:<\/p>\n

I started my morning like any other\u2014early breakfast, loading gear, a drive down the California coast. But as I walked into the conference room to set up my mobile studio, I knew the day was going to be special.<\/p>\n

This wasn\u2019t just a headshot booth\u2014it was a space to be seen. A quiet corner tucked into a busy retreat where people could pause, breathe, and have a moment just for themselves.<\/p>\n

From guiding each person\u2019s pose<\/strong> to helping fix a stray curl or adjusting their blazer, I found myself doing so much more than clicking a shutter. I was helping people feel confident\u2014sometimes for the first time in front of a camera.<\/p>\n

\u201cDoes My Hair Look Okay?\u201d \u2014 And Other Real Moments<\/strong><\/p>\n

Behind every photo, there were little moments that made me smile:<\/p>\n

\u2022 One client nervously asked, \u201cIs this how I\u2019m supposed to stand?\u201d<\/p>\n

\u2022 Another joked, \u201cI need this for the email signature that no one ever looks at!\u201d<\/p>\n

\u2022 Several people quietly said, \u201cI usually hate having my picture taken, but this was actually fun.\u201d<\/p>\n

These were the in-between moments\u2014the ones that don\u2019t always make it into the final gallery but say so much about the experience.<\/p>\n

I walked them through each pose with gentle direction. I offered them a chance to review their images. I reminded them they could ask for retakes. And most of all, I listened. Because in a fast-moving session, what people really want is to feel like they matter\u2014even for just a few minutes<\/strong>.<\/p>\n
