It’s almost that time of the year again! You know, the joyous time you get to spend with family over a feast and gift exchange. Getting family photos done during this time for the holiday cards have became a family tradition, where families come together dressed up for a short, but warm and fun photo session.
As a lifestyle photographer, I love shooting outdoor, in nature and at urban city areas. This year, we are going to a couple of unique locations and a few of our favorite spots within Southern California for Holiday family photos. Here’s a brief list of locations we will be headed, hope you’ll see something you like enough to join us this year!
Holiday Mini sessions are meant to be quick and fun for families who are looking for a couple of nice photos to either update their annual family traditions or simply for fun! They are 15 minutes long sessions at a pre-selected spot for best lighting and backdrop.
Happening on Sundays in October and November. Our scheudle is pre-planned and scheduled in 15 minutes session, starting 2 hours before sunset.
Most people prefer Golden Hour, so we scheduled 2 hours before sunset for that better soft light.
Put on the best matching outfits to complement your natural smile as a family. Typically earth tones are great for Fall family photos, or go the class route with white top and jeans!
A husband-and-wife team, with a curious fluff as long as the location permits, creating cherishable memories for you and your loved ones.

What is your creative process working with a new customer?
To craft a beautiful session, I usually begin learning about you and the story you want to capture. We then pick a shooting location of your choice. I can also provide recommendations for you if needed. Next, we will work out a color story for the outfits that best complement the shooting location you chose.
Do you edit all the photographs?
Yes, I do! Post production of the photographs is as important as the day of shoot. Every image you receive will be edited in some shape or form to create that cohesive look of a collection.
Will you travel for a shoot?
My office is based in Torrance, California, 90504. For any photoshoots under an hour, I am willing to travel up to 10 miles radius, free of charge. Anything that falls beyond will be charged by each mile to cover the driven mileage and gasoline cost, at $2/mile.
When will I receive my photographs?
The turnaround time for any photoshoot will be 2 weeks from your shoot day. They will be uploaded to a private, password protected gallery for you to view and share among your friends and family.
In addition, an USB flash drive with the high resolution files will also be mailed to you as a keepsake.
Are the digital files watermarked?
Only the web resolution files are watermarked for your online usage. All the high resolution files will not be watermarked.
Do I get the copyright of the images?
Upon receipt of your digital files, you will also receive a Print Release - Use License, which allows you to print and use the pictures for personal use only. As for obtaining the copyright, it means to own the creator title to the work performed. I do not sell the copyright of the images, but you will have the license and right to print and share your images for personal use as much as you like!
What is your COVID-19 protection procedure?
Mask on for me at all times! Most of the shoots will be conducted in outdoor settings, unless specified. We will maintain good social distance and follow all local laws, but you and your close ones can certainly stay as close as you’d like!

This 35 acre park provides facilities to many sporting and leisure activities, including: four one-wall handball courts, multi-purpose athletic fields, a regulation basketball court, a sand volleyball court, picnic tables, and a variety of playground equipment. The park also boasts a 3/4-mile running track
📍 Corona Del Mar 🐾 Dog friendly 🚗 Residential street parking 🚶🏻♀️ Few minutes downhill walk to the beach

Little Corona del Mar beach is relatively small, flanked on both sides with rocky reefs that offer the spectacular diving well known to local divers. The beach is very well protected from swells and surf, making it one of the easier beach diving sites and a great beach for families who don’t want to worry about their little ones getting towed away by a large wave or undercurrent.

RAT Beach is a sort of no-man’s-land of city borders, hence the name—an acronym that by most accounts stands for “right after Torrance.” Toward the eastern end of the lot, the mostly unmarked quarter-of-a-mile-long Malaga Cove Trail will lead you to a picturesque stretch of sand at the bottom of a bluff. RAT Beach is nice and sandy, and the Malaga Cove Trail is mostly paved and not too steep.

The 2.8-acre Quail Hill Trailhead provides a great location to connect to southern Irvine’s extensive trail network. The trailhead is located at the end of Sand Canyon Road and marks the beginning of the Quail Hill Loop Trail, an easy two-mile natural surface trail at the foot of Quail Hill that is open to the public from dawn to dusk. Irvine’s southern wilderness is also accessible via docent-led activities that begin at the trailhead. Quail Hill Loop Trail is the only wilderness trail in the Natural Landmarks that allows dogs – on leashes of course.

Since last year, the idea of photographing in a studio for Mini sessions have been in our plans to execute. As an outdoor photographer, shooting among nature and ocean waves have been enjoyable to us. But there are just some days, weeks or even months when the weather isn't quite as nice, then an indoor studio shoot will be ideal. Besides, a lot of you have been asking, so why not give this year a try? If not this year, how about next Spring?
