Hillcrest Park Engagement Photoshoot in Fullerton, California | Claire & Robert

My first impression of the Hillcrest Park is that it is HUGE! We are based in Torrance, California, so Hillcrest Park is definitely not a place we are familiar with prior shooting at this very first time with Claire and Robert. 

As a photographer, there are always going to some places we photograph at a lot, and there will be some my first times. Regardless it’s my 10th or first time at a location, I always love to first learn about the photo subjects – in this case, the couple, to get their perspective of what inspire them to pick the location at the first place. From there, I begin to picture and imagine how the two of them will interact and possibly do during our time together at the shoot! 

Since it was our first time at Hillcrest Park, we got there about 1.5 hour early to scout out there area and potential spots for photos. If our schedule permits, we would have gone a week earlier to scout, but with our limited time schedule, we do what we can. The shoot with Claire and Robert was 1.5 hours long, with a park such size, it required a little bit of drive, park and shoot, to save time and allow us to cover majority of the nice spots we’ve identified within the park.

Here’s the result! I think they all came out nicely, we were able to capture the essence of this lovely couple in a simple afternoon at the park setting. Now, we have one more spot to add to our Orange County photo spot list, thank you Claire and Robert for having us create these Engagement photos for your upcoming wedding!
