A cute and giggly family of 4. I had the honor to document this special stage of the Honeyman family – this session documented their 7 year old daughter’s birthday, and the lovely couple’s anniversary, as they enjoyed a family vacation at Pelican Hill Resort in Newport Beach California. A beautiful location for many special occasions, and I was told this place had sort of become the family’s tradition to come and celebrate love together. My initial correspondence was with Michael, the head of the household. He wanted to give his two lovely ladies a surprise photoshoot, but as a lady myself, I figured his ladies would love to dress up for the occasion. Instead of it being a big surprise, I recommended he let them know ahead of time so they can be in their color coordinated family outfits for this special photoshoot.

The session took place at 2pm in the afternoon. While the sun is not the most ideal at this time of day, I made sure we positioned the family well enough for even lighting overall. It was a fun shoot for us all, and we really enjoyed getting to know the family as we photographed them. They are so easy to work with, and definitely not afraid to try different poses. I love that they love each other so much they can laugh about silly things, which gave me the opportunity to capture the most authentic and genuine smiles among them all.
