Backyard Wedding in Carson City | Jesse & Barbara

An intimate wedding that was filled with love on July 11th, also known as the 7-Eleven wedding, took place at the backyard of the couple’s good friend’s home in sunny California. On a bright and warm day, Jesse and Barbara tied their knot at a place and time they both envisioned. They celebrated by embracing their roots and heritage with a live Mariachi band, along with an authentic taco stand set up just right outside on the driveway, providing a true Mexican experience to all the guests and my team. Barbara brought together her colorstory of pink, coral, cream and brown from Jesse’s cowboy suit, completing a story of warmth and joy.

Jesse and Barbara have a very easy going and welcoming group of friends and family, who helped them pull together the party. It started with a ceremony, where they were married by Kaitlyn, Barbara’s longtime best friend. The bride had her beautiful long hair up in a bun, a simple veil over a floral lace v-neck gown, which according to Barbara was a bargain purchase off of Amazon, as were the majority of the other wedding decorations. “This is literally an #AmazonWedding!”, said Barbara. 

Followed by the ceremony, guests relaxed and enjoyed themselves with an open bar with self made customizable mixed drinks, danced away with DJ Kaitlyn, and El Baile del billete, the Dollar Dance that I got to experience the very first time. 

Jesse and Barbara’s wedding was fun and gave me a lot of firsts. In my opinion, it was a wedding unbounded by wedding traditions, riding on the trend of practical wedding celebrations, in which the two of them stayed true to what they believe in and stand behind. We are honored to have the opportunity to witness and document their wedding.
